Landon Noland is a Singer Songwriter, Live Performer & Multi Instrumental Recording Artist based in Oviedo, Florida.
Beginning his music career in early 2016 at age 15, Landon started playing open mics in the Central Florida area with his 1st live performance being on Valentines day of that year. At first he was a piano act but soon after seeing the amazing Billy Joel perform at the Amway Arena in the heart of Orlando, he decided it was time to look into singing. Very soon after this decision and still in highschool, Landon began showing up to school an hour before 1st period and practicing his piano and vocal craft in the chorus room before the light came on. Sounds of Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Muse, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and his own original creations were common. After only a couple months of this, Landon was joined in his morning musical endeavors by friends and fellow musicians alike, singing, writing and hanging out before school started.
Just after his 9th grade year and a summer of playing open mic venues like Bahama Breeze, Sanford Brewing Company and the awesome Fiddlers Green Irish Pub where he learned acoustic guitar and the value of entertaining an audience, Landon began hunting for gigs. After just a few short weeks of searching he landed two 4 hour sets at the Painted Oaks Pumpkin Patch in Orlando Florida. With the knowledge he obtained from his 1st gig, he landed a weekly residency at the former Casey's Grill Winter Springs. Landon made many more gigs after this, driving to restaurants and shaking hands, selling his music to anyone that would have it. All of these gigs and performances very quickly began shaping and sharpening Landons skills, racking up tons of experience and making lots of friends along the way.
During this time Landon began noticing a demand by the audience for his original music. He had been writing and performing Originals for many months now but hadn't recorded anything yet. This is when he decided to delve into the world of Recording, Mixing and Mastering. At an open mic at the Townhouse Restaurant in his hometown of Oviedo, Florida, Landon met Musican and Recording Engineer, Zack Taylor. Landon began Vocal coaching and musicianship training at Zack Taylor's, Taylor Voice Innovation Studios (TVIS). He even took a 1 year paid apprenticeship at TVIS as a Mixing and Mastering engineer himself. Here Landon learned much more about Vocal Technique and expanding his Musicianship. Here he also recorded his 1st track "The Final Page" in 2018 and 1st EP "Haunted By You" in 2019. Since then Landon records mostly in his home studio on releases like "One Song Left" & "Lockdown" in 2020. He frequently has his things Mixed & Mastered by Zack Taylor at TVIS and attributes much of his success to the teachings of Zack Taylor.
All of this musical activity did not go unnoticed by the Central Florida community. Landon's story was front page news in the Sanford Harold news paper in January of 2018. Landon has also been invited on many Podcast & Radiostation such as FM 96.9 THE GAME, 91.5 WPRK Rollins College Radio Winter Park, Featured on UK Station "Radio Wigwam", local podcast Hanging With Webshow, The Mike Cara Radio Show, Orlando Bands' Local Music Guild LIVE, "Dropkick Radio" and more. Landon has also been invited to sing our beautiful National Anthem at events like the 2019 Oviedo Rising 5k and the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr Day Celebration for the OCIA (Oviedo Citizens In Action). On the first Saturday of every month Landon plays on the front porch on the Historic Lawton House at the Oviedo Farmers Market. He is proud to play for his community at this event.
Going from failing highschool piano class & Open Mics in 2016 to playing at the prestigious Hard Rock Hotel Universal Studios and Radio Interviews in 2020, Landon is definitely an artist to watch out for in the years to come.
